Social trees
Welcome to the social trees blog. Over time, I will intermittently post articles related to social networking, my current research interest. I will also post articles about the pictures that I recently shot as well. Happy reading.
Soups Ranjan is a research scientist who enjoys working at cross-section of network security, data mining and distributed system design. He obtained PhD and Masters degrees from Rice University in 2005 and 2002 respectively. More specifically, his interests are in designing novel solutions to detect all things malicious in the Internet including Distributed Denial-of-Service attacks, E-mail spam, VoIP spam, Botnets, BGP prefix hijacking attacks, by using techniques from advanced statistics, graph theory, and data mining. He holds 3 patents and has co-authored 10 additional patent pending applications with USPTO in the broad area of network anomaly detection.
